Well I would like to add “at least once” to the title line! OK, if we say rabbits hares foxes and cats (and any other small pests) are varmints, then does shooting them make you a varminter? Technically I suppose the answer is yes but if you, like me, think of varminting as sniping at these small targets with a small calibre centrefire as far as you can hit them is “varminting’ then read on. |

Varminting is like any other shooting sport in the fact that you can spend as little or as much as you like on your set up! The purpose of this article is to give people who want a varmint set up but are on a budget and don’t have thousands of dollars to spend on a custom rig or for those who want to try and not even have to buy a dedicated rifle! I feel it’s important to highlight that you can be a successful varminter even with a modest budget. |

Rifle cleaning is a topic which can take not only hours of your time but a lot of space to communicate. As a target shooter rifle cleaning is a subject I have spent many hours learning and then re-learning, it’s almost an art form for some. |
