Well picked it up today, to say I am impressed is an understatement !
The gun looks great, and I can't wait to unleash it tomorrow.
Will get some photos up here if I can work out how to get them off the phone and upload them.
Now to read the manual over a Coopers Sparkling Ale...cheers all.

Re: If you were buying a shotgun...
Thanks Camel.....LOL
Main reason for the delay was waiting for fox drives to start up again to bring a shotgun back on the 'must have' radar.
Also saving a few $ that I didn't spend other 'toys' !!!!
Will give report when I've put a few rounds (or is that shells?) through it.

Woo Hoo.... Commander-in-Chief, Home Forces has approved my new Shotgun purchase!!
Off to the gunshop tomorrow to see what deal they will do for me on the Franchi Phoenix.
Any reason why I shouldn't get the 30 inch ????

Re: Recommendations for a 'Torque Screwdriver'
Thanks for the info guys.
The search continues......
Someone asked what torque range .... I think the lowest would be about 15 inch/lbs to 95 inch/lbs (I have a Ruger 77 and they recommend the high setting for the front angled screw).
Do others think these specs reasonable ?

Recommendations for a 'Torque Screwdriver'
Hi all,
Wanting to add one of these to my firearm tool collection (for obvious reasons) and am wanting recommendations.
Wanting something that's good quality and performs well .... but doesn't cost a fortune.
Thanks in advance.......

If you were buying a shotgun...
I don't have one in the safe, and am wondering what you would recommend. I have done a few fox drives with borrowed bang-sticks, and like the over/under configuration. Might do some clay targets...might not ! Will do some fox drives in future. Might shoot some ducks... might not !! Should I get one ...

Re: Not exactly a varmint rifle but .....
Well, drove across on Friday and picked it up ! Spent nearly 3 hours cleaning all the grease off it... yet to do the barrel as my local gun shop did not have the cleaning rod I wanted :( I love looking at this firearm, it's in great condition...extra bonus, all the numbers match - bolt, barrel, end ...

Not exactly a varmint rifle but .....
Bought myself a Mosin Nagant !
Unissued 1942 'model' .... was for a mate of mine, but he changed his mind.
Picking up on Friday, will have a lot of cleaning to do as it's still in the factory 'grease'.
Comments? Tips?
Will post some photos (if anyone is interested).

Mixed cases...your opinion
I'm talking HUNTING here..
What difference is loading cases of different brands have on results ?
Is it gospel that you only have 'matched' cases ?
Can you mix'n'match with the same/similar result ?
