That looks very nice. How big is the lake, I've forgotten?
I hear that HMAS ANZAC is going to be relocated to Lake Burley Griffin as a new tourist attraction now it has been decommissioned. I guess there was no point in sinking her there.

Re: Trigger gauge
Well, I finally bought a digital trigger gauge. Just a cheap Chinese one. When it arrived I tested it and got surprising results, which made me assume the gauge was crap. So I watched a few videos and did a basic comparison test with some weights and it turns out to be fairly accurate. The result of...

Re: Does Taipan still make projectiles
I bought about 3000 of his rejects of those pills when he was closing up and had used 6000 of the good ones in years previous all put through my 22-204. They went well in it and were accurate and I now use them in the .223. If you want to sell them let me know. Cheers. Good to hear they are OK. I h...

Re: Does Taipan still make projectiles
I discovered a box of 500 Taipan projectiles in my collection and am not sure where I got them. I tried to look them up but it appears they ceased trading around 2022. Is that correct? How good are they? They were pretty good at ‘normal’ velocities. Not always as good/consistent at high velocities ...

Re: COAL and CBTO
Yes, OAL is the easier term.
I'm trying to edumacate myself on this reloading stuff. Think I have the basic concept down with CBTO now but I'm sure there's more to it.

Re: Does Taipan still make projectiles
Mate I think they shut up shop years ago, pretty sure someone purchased all their equipment but can’t recall who that was. Best I could find was that there was a well intentioned but failed restart mixed in with some breakins and thefts at the factory. Made it all too difficult to restart productio...

Re: COAL and CBTO
Pardon my ignorance cause I'm reasonably new to this game but what's : COAL means , ie ......overall length mean. & CBTO means. Thanks Raven. No problems, I'm learning this stuff myself hence my questions to those here with far more knowledge. COAL = Cartridge Over All Length. Pretty much what ...

COAL and CBTO
Out of interest how many people here reload using COAL as it relates to CBTO? I've just started down this rabbit hole after watching some of Erik Cortina's videos. So I did some measurements using my Hornady OAL kit on different projectiles and was amazed at the variance between CTBO. I'd be interes...

Re: Happy Birthday Raven
Hey Raven , tell me more about your trigger work on Rugers, Ive got an M77 Vt 2 think, with terrible 3lb 2 stage trigger. I'm happy with two stage triggers but not happy with 3 lb triggers. Is it a big job requiring mammoth degrees in engineering ?? No rush to come back to me - enjoy your bir...

Re: Happy Birthday Raven
Thank you all for remembering my Ausvarmint birthday.
If I'm lucky, there will be time this weekend to do some trigger work on the Browning.
Already did the Ruger trigger but still haven't been to the range, since I buggered my arm and some other family issues.
