Re: Gecado (Diana) Mod. 22 in .177
from my experience of Diana rebuilds, get some wet/dry and polish the bearing surfaces to a glass like finish. i got mine to about an 800 grit before i was happy. Then I smeared a fine layer of super moly grease over the surface as I assembled it. Changed the impulse and the action was silky smooth....

Re: 20 Vt case forming
Did you need to anneal the Sako brass? I just bought 300, and was considering forming them down to 221 or 17 fireball.

Re: SSAA Springer Maintenance Article
Was a pretty good piece. Hopefully inspire a few people to maintain their air arms.
I used similar methods to tune both my air rifles (way before this article was written) and the results of less shot noise and consistent velocities and accuracy are well worth the effort involved.

Thanks mate, I did enjoy the day!
Lazy, but enjoyed a slow cooked, pulled beef roast, done from a scrub cow I shot about 6 weeks ago.

Re: 221 fireball velocities
Certainly looks like it does the job I was playing around in the shed today forming down some old 222 cases to the vartarg and after running through the fireball forming die, had admire the little 221 case. Very efficient case. At the risk of upsetting some, you could buy an off the shelf calibre a...

RCBS 90278 case trim/neck trimmer, anyone used one?
Are they any good? can you remove the trimmer to just to do the neck thickness? I need to do the neck thickness on my 221 Fireball reformed brass (need to take all of 4-6 thou!! :grrrr:) and am looking for a tool to do it. Let me know your thoughts. Re: Predator .177 Shorts and Metalmags test groups.
Head shot a pigeon with them recently, he did not enjoy the experience!
I have not used metalmags, but I have used the Gamo version. Very nonplussed.
But there nothing better than shooting stuff, trigger time is the best.

Re: Seriously? Ban on Butane Burners
I used one on my last spotlighting trip. Worked ok. But I just bought the canisters for a butane annealing torch that I bought. Might be time to stock up, maybe the canisters will be super cheap!!

Re: .222Rem Sierra 40g Blitzkings
Ok, I will preface this by saying I am loading for a Sportco Martini 222, not rimmed, but rimless. But I just did some load testing the other day, 40gn Nosler BT Varmints, 19.5gn 2207, Win SRP, 5 shots 1.1inch at 100m. 50gn PPy JSP, 19.8gn of 2207 Win SRP, 3 shot group .791 at 100m. Not the same spe...
