Re: Anyone here do generator repairs?
Wouldn't have tripped a circuit breaker or fuse? Did you get any warranty when you purchased it?

Re: Garmin etrex 20
Yeh I have had one for about 10 years, they are a very basic unit and unable to store many way points and tracks, but if you want something for peace of mind about not getting lost, they are a good thing. I stepped up and got a C60s or something like that so I could down load all my rabbit shooting...

Garmin etrex 20
G'day guys,
I have been looking around for a gps and found a Garmin etrex 20 on gumtree, I was curious to see what your thoughts were on them?
I want one to Track where I have been and to be able to pin point locations.
Thanks.

Re: I couldn't help myself and got the Stihl MS311
Eh I messed around with it a bit more and got it freed, it must have had shit in it. But I couldn't get it to budge yesterday the oil must have penetrated the dust. Awesome saws, I have a ms291 and it goes great, but when I first got it, it jammed up in front of the rear sprocket under the case. I ...

Re: Trying to tan a hide
Yep drum tight when wet. Let dry, use lube, let dry, sand, break on beam if too crispy. I find a pallet is easier, doing it horizontally rather than try ing to hold a soggy hide up with one hand and nail with the other on a fence. (Nailgun?) So will sanding get the blue off the skin? Break on beam ...

Re: Trying to tan a hide
So followed the instructions as best as I could, apart from the end I hung it apose to nailing into a fence. It looks like a wrinkled avatar. Have I ruined it?? Can't seem to attach a photo. Thanks. You must peg them out so they are taut when they are wet, then let them dry and then apply the softe...

Re: Trying to tan a hide
Use the serrated side and work away from you, much easier if you have a fleshing beam. If you start at the neck and work down the skin you can often get the sinew membrane and any meat coming off in a sheet. If your lucky you can sometimes just pull it off by hand once started. I actually find it e...

Re: Trying to tan a hide
See if you can pick up one of the fleshing tools that come in the leder kits (used to be leidreiters) you can tear rabbit skins with them, fox skins if you try hard enough but next to impossible to put a hole in anything thicker. A proper fleshing knife is the go but if you don't have the skill the...

Re: Trying to tan a hide

I will have a read through it, thanks. Yes he did show me, but I had was already 3/4 way through. When you say soak them do yo...
