Re: Red Dot

I have been running an Aimpoint H1 for three years or more and it has been an excellent performer; you get what you pay for, save your money, they really are the best with the widest variety of options. For a cheaper option - I have read a few good things about the SIG Sauer Romeo 5, it may be worth...

Re: Importing firearms from USA

There are a number of different agents you can use, I haven't done it for a firearm but have for parts. The export permit from the US side is usually the biggest issue. I haven't used the agency below so no recommendations but they look ok.

Re: Most frangible .264 cal pill?

Do the 85 & 95 gr pills over-stabilize in a 1:8 twist and hold together, or does that make the effects more spectacular?

Re: Berger hunting.

I tested the Berger 140 Hunting VLD yesterday in the 260Rem ,with great results. 8) I normally run the Berger Hybrid 140gr pills and wanted a hunting variant; I used the same powder charge, primer, case etc. VLD's being reputedly jump fussy, I wanted to find the best jump. I tested 0.130, 0.090, 0.0...

Re: Aussie Made High BC 6.5mm Pills?

Great :) With the Aussie $$ dropping and availability of imported pills sporadic, I'm going to give these a try :)

Aussie Made High BC 6.5mm Pills?

I'm wanting to know if any Aussie manufacturer offers a 6.5 mm/.624 cal projectile that will perform as well as the Berger Hybrid Target?

Cheers

Re: Accuracy International AT

Taken her out twice now and am a very happy camper :D I still have a few bits and pieces inbound that are super hard to find here in Aus such as a lower 20MOA rail, Aadmount flip up caps. Load development is damn close and just need to do a final confirmation; so far a consistent 1/2 MOA 5 shot perf...

 I had to laugh when I saw "smash"; in context that would be like taking ten thousandths from .1556 to .1546

Insanely small group and definitely world class; a great job in anyone's language :D

Thinking of building a 6.5x 47 Lapua .is there much difference between it and your 260'rem.?
Cheers George
Splitting hairs difference, but I think the 260R has the edge particularly on the platform I'm running.

Re: Accuracy International AT

It's slowly coming together, I will have it up and running late this month fingers crossed. It came with a Lothar Walthar 24 inch 308win barrel (which I will keep on ice). Maddco turned me up one of theirs in 260 Rem; 26inch AI profile, cerakote graphite black. I have a Vortex Razor 4.5-27x56 Gen2 f...
