This has been going on for how many years now? I'm not into 1000BR, but they are damn good sponsors the way they are sticking with you.dg wrote:ExtraVision have recently announced that for 2014, they will again act as the Major Sponsor for our International 1000yd BR Postal Matches with the USA.

mate, you are spot on with your comments with ExtraVision.
they have regularly provided a net prize pool each year of considerable value.
unlike some demanding sponsors, ExtraVision have never placed any demands or expectations on us as far as placing their "name in lights".
I spoke to Goran this morning to thank him for this year's sponsorship, and his attitude is that they are just trying to "put something back into the shooting sports."
Naturally, we do not take their sponsorship for granted and either on the forums or in the ATR, we feel it is appropriate to give ExtraVision the exposure and publicity we think they are entitled too.
Additionally BJD Projectiles are and have been tremendously generous and supportive with their wonderful sponsorship of the BJD Trophy for the 308/223 1000yd BR competitors.
The BJD Trophy has been responsible, for quite a few shooters making the transition to IBS 1000yd BR, which by any analysis , has to be a good result for the sport in general.
BTW, what has been achieved in our ExtraVision and BJD LRBR events since 2009 is completely due to the support and recognition which Australian and American competitors/clubs have provided and continue to provide
cheers

An in no small amount a direct result of the outstanding work of one man.....dg wrote:BTW, what has been achieved in our ExtraVision and BJD LRBR events since 2009 is completely due to the support and recognition which Australian and American competitors/clubs have provided and continue to provide

A man who came up with the idea of a postal match
A man who contacted American clubs seeking a regular postal match until he succeeded with the Virginia Rifle Club
A man who then got the heads of the IBS to agree to recognize the match under their rules
A man who then got aussie shooters on board for that match
A man who has supplied patches for small groups (smileys)
A man who has helped anyone in anyway he could to get 1000BR bigger
A man who has run the closest thing to a National 1000yd BR shoot for a few years now
A man who has given everything to make it all work
Dave Goodridge you are the driving force behind all these things and your contribution to 1000yd BR in this country is something that has to be seen to be believed.
The sponsors, the development of the BJD Cup the Narromine Nationals the eternal postal match are all down to you Dave and I can and will say your a bloody legend. I am proud to know you, to have shot with you and am continually amazed by what you achieve.
And on top of all that you are a true friend and gentleman I am a better person for having known you and I am proud to call you a Mate.

Guys,
ExtraVision and BJD are to congratulated for their ongoing support. It's great to see.
Rinso,
I agree with your sentiments with one exception. The Narromine Southern Cross Championship IS the Aust Champs. No other club, and I include Brisbane, get this level of attendance for a shoot. Its a credit to Dave how well it runs, and how well it's attended.
