NSW State Fly Shoot 2007

Post by steven »

Tamworth will not be hosting the 2007 State Fly Shooting Champs due to a lack of interest by the host club who leave it all up to 1 person to organise and run. There are other reasons but I don't want to say until I know for sure.Batemans Bay will probably be approached to run it for 2007.

Will let everyone know for sure when I speak to Mark later. I know the new SSAA Tamworth branch were set to help out with butt crews etc.

Rinso,

The State Benchrest Chairman was the person who informed me of Marks decision not run it next year. He is going to approach Batemans Bay about running the shoot.

As far as I know Mark was willing to run the shoot when I spoke to him a month or so ago. The advertisement for the shoot was ready to go to the SSAA magazine as well and they were just waiting on a contact phone no. I think there is health issues involved as well.

Dang,
That is a shame  I have been to 4 Tamworth fly's but missed the last one.
It was great to have something as prestigious as a state shoot so close to home, I think it's a big loss to Tamworth. But if none of the members will help with the work it's no good soldiering on.
