GriMo,

The number under the Fly is the number of Fly hits you recorded for the 5 scoring targets of the shoot.

So for the top two patches both from Canberra Later version on right identifies the event Federal Cup (this is the event everyone wants to win sorta like the Bathurst 1000 of LR Benchrest)
In these shoots the shooter hit 5 Flies (left) and 3 Flies (right) in the 5 scored targets so 25 scoring shots

2nd row left is Canberra Pro Cal shoot
Centre round patch is Melbourne Benchrest Club Victoria shot at little River Range near Werribee (host the Victorian State Champs).
Right patch is ACT Federal Cup 6 Fly hits
Bottom is Tamworth & Peel Valley Rifle Club 4 Fly patch (host the NSW state champs) also shot at Tamworth is 200 metre Rimfire (will post a pic)
Far right is Brisbane Fly patch (host SE Qld Champs)

I have some others ie batemans Bay which I will post

Hope that helps

Sorry about the picture quality
This set includes Tamworth Centrefire and Rimfire,
Bateman's Bay 2 different types
Federal Cup and Pro Cal participants patches

I have some others lying around just cant put my finger on them just yet.

Whitty

6 is it for a single 5 target match I think and several shooters have done this ... the original shoots were 10 target so not sure what the record would be ..I will try and find out

I find this impressive
Image

Thats the current world record group for 500 metres 0.960 inches five shots .... I watched that group happen still amazes me.

cheers

Near as I can see so far 6 is the best in the 5 target format

Matt Paroz, Wayne Pattinson, Tony Zubalj.

I have not been able to check all records but have seen most

Next is 5;
Jonh Rawson, Stuart Elliot, Ken Melgaard, Dave Purcell

Intersesting that 5 appears to be the best result from the 10 target days;

Jeff Rogers (aka a.JR) Dave Goodridge, Kathy Tobler, Slim Jim McKinley and Rod Davies

Thanks Rinso,
Peter Van Meurs record group is more than impressive, but the four shots at .4 of an inch is just amazing. I'll have to have a go at this fly shoot one day , it sounds like a lot of fun :) , and a lot of frustration. :|
cheers
