G'day all,
I'll be in NSW, but at Syd shooting the BR LV-HV titles!
One day I'll get there!
Good luck to all and I hope the event is a great success (course it will)!

Re: Leeton Fly - August 09
So what are the requirements for rimfire fly? weight, magnification, calibre etc.
I've got no idea as I've never shot fly.
Are there different classes within rimfire?

Hi Knackers,
Shame you can't make it hopefully we will see you at Wagga at the end of August.
Hi 220,
With rimfire we only have one class, the only restriction for the class is that your rimfire is a 22lr. Same rules apply as for centre fire with 5 scoring targets and a warmer target. During the warmer period we will make sure that you are on paper before you come away from the bench. It is great fun. Also if you need more feel free to give me a call number is in thde post.
Cheers

Re: Leeton Fly - August 09
Thanks Chris
Might have a play with the 22lr barrel on the quad at 200m next week and see how it groups at that distance.
Not expecting to be competative, if I can make it I'll be happy with no missing shots, but what sort of accuracy is need to be competative in rimfire fly.
Thought I'ld ask it here instead of giving you a call as I'm sure the answer would be of intrest to most on this site.
Cheers 220

Re: Leeton Fly - August 09
Hi 220,
Being competative is good but the main focus of the day is to have fun and challange yourself, I only shoot to beat my last score and if I place that is a bonus. It depends with rimfire as wind plays a major factor on the day, comes down to who can read the wind the best. My best group at 200 was 1.9 inch shot at Batemans Bay last years, but I have not been able to repeat this group again. We have had groups shot in the mid to high 2's at Leeton. All I can say is come along and have some fun and meet some great guys, you never know your luck on the day.
Cheers
