Geoff - thats the 20fpe tune too, didnt think it was gonna be accurate - but it was!
*might* try for a 12fpe tune :\ but it'll be slow
the 20fpe with 14gr was 800fpe, 12fpe is 620fps
By Golly. I think we've got it. Which pellets were these mate? JSB Jumbo Espress or FTTs?

If so, and don't take this the wrong way, but why didn't you adjust up and left to center the group on the X ring - or were you just shooting for group size?

Let us know how you go at Hornsby on Saturday. :)

I ended up retuning the Hornet at 16 FPE. I felt that a 10.5 grain pellet at 11.3 FPE was like chasing rainbows at 45-50m. I'll have to find some suitable 7 - 8 grain pellets or a NEW gun.

yeah exactly - i think we need a 177 & 22 class to make it evens
calibrate both to 800fps (12 & 20fpe) & call it a day!

Thats what the Yanks have done for their local comp. Max 20 fpe and international class max 12 fpe. They are about the same trajectory profile at that power.
