Hi guys, my old man is interested in a brno rifle in the states but we are both unsure of the ease and method to do so. If anyone could shed some light on the subject that would be amazing. Cheers guys.

Re: Importing firearms from USA
There are a number of different agents you can use, I haven't done it for a firearm but have for parts. The export permit from the US side is usually the biggest issue. I haven't used the agency below so no recommendations but they look ok.

Re: Importing firearms from USA
thats not a bad link, it shows it how it really is. Small imports are not cost effective.
The last time i imported a couple of firearms it was something like this:
export permit $350usd
doc fees $80usd
post and insurance $350usd (more if sent freight)
on this end there is:
broker fees - $120
gst - 10%
customs fees $50-150
port charges if it comes air freight
There are 3-4 forms to fill out and get approved and a period of a 2-4 weeks before anything can happen. If it comes freight there is also a trip to the airport to pick it up. If you live on my side of the city that means about a 3-4 hour drive plus 1-2 hours to pick them up as they take their time and are usually busy and etag fees. All of that and thats just to break even.
