Matt grab the L461 I have 2 of them and lovem one of the few actions built to the cartridge(The 222 family). They seem to have climbed steeply in value in the last few years and should continue to bring good dollars for a while to come.

L461 + L46 in original condition are sought after by collectors so fetch a premium price. Shot out + beaten up versions are sought after for project rifles so that can push up the price a bit. I was watching a few on Usedguns in 2008 and in a few months prices went from sub $1000 for a reasonable rifle to around $1200-1500. I reckon your best bet is to look in rural gunshops, classifieds etc for a beater and buy it for the action..I got lucky and scored a new, bare Sako A1 action which is a later version, not as collectible but is the same design as the L461. It's at the gunsmiths and will be a .221 Fireball very soon.

Re: Sako L461 thoughts
They are great little actions. About 25 years ago I used a L461 action to build a 17mach4, this rifle is on its 4th barrel. Doubt you would have many problems with them
