Have any of our 204 shooters done any reloading using 39 or 40 gr bullets and 2206? I'm interested in whatever you decided was your max load. Chrony numbers too if you have them.
And yes, I know that it probably isn't the best powder for the job, nor is it likely to be available for all that much longer.

PM Drew Jaeger he has just tested 39gr Sierra Blitz Kings and AR 2206H. The results were very promising.

Why work a new load up in AR2206? It has been decomissioned, might as well start with a powder that is going to be readily available. Not one that will be harder to find when current stocks start to decline.

Simply to illustrate the fact that 2206h is so good as JB already knows. He is also a 204um member and will have heard a lot of respected members recommend both. He may even have already tried 10. Sorry it was too subtle for you Drew

That's what 7mmmag stated and you hit him with the following;

Consistency please.

I know about 2206H and the 39 gr Blitzking. We have been using that combination since aquiring our first 204.
I have a supply of 2206. More than enough to make it worth doing load development for it.
Most 204s are 1:12 twist, and very iffy with any bullet heavier than the 39 Sierra. This one is 1:10, and should be able to use the 40 gr bullets (as well as the lighter ones). 2206 is a suitable powder for this use. In fact, ADI 2219, BM2, 2206 and 2206H will all produce results within 50 fps.
