Re: 30-06
Any reason for the precision dies, I take it here you are talking about competition grade, any of the larger reloading companies will have dies that suit a 30-06, no need for the extra expense of really really flash ones in a hunting rifle.

Re: 30-06
Hi I am just tinkering with a Baikal 30-06 SxS purely to see if I can make shoot as good as it is capable, so my thinking is if I can make the ammo as well as I can that will rule out 1 problem.
When the wind drops I will go out the back and see where it is shooting with some 110 grn ammo I have already and that will give me the brass to start reloading.

Oh, ok then, sounds like a bit of fun, just don't go getting all snobby on us seeing as how you are shooting a double rifle and we can only afford one for each rifle.
So what is a bit of your history, been shooting long, etc. Keep a careful watch out of we will try and convert you to a 20 cal shooter, I know as there are a few bastards on here that converted me, they just aren't happy with factory cartridges or rifles.

Hi again, been around for 70 years and been shooting on and off for about 60 of those years .22 hornet .222 30-30 .270.12g .410 22 rim fire is what I have mostly played with.
Walking is getting tougher now days, so mostly shoot F&G or bust the odd fox or rabbit around the place and tinker with the latest purchase.

I think I may be your neighbour every so often when I visit our bush block.
I will bet London to a brick the rifle's potential is not hampered by your ammo quality. They weren't built for shooting groups

Your right of course about the rifle, but I am just amusing myself to see how well I can make it shoot and I don't know much about precision dies or the cost.

Re: 30-06
go onto Sinclair International's website and check out Redding competition die set price. Cant get a much better set.
Then price a Forster benchrest seater and FL die set and a redding bushing neck die, nearly as good but a fair bit cheaper.
Oh and so we dont get off on the wrong foot, sorry for the egg sucking lesson before. "because I can" is a mantra on here, you dont have to need it or it might not be sensible but "because I can" is a great reason

Hi navarre3384
Welcome to the forum
I'm a neighbour as well
Can't help you with the 06.
Hope the wind drops enough for you soon to get out and have a go.
Still very windy here this morning.
Good luck with it.
