Good vid Grimo.

I have never seen one of those units so it was good to see the actual size of the unit.

Quick question, how do you find using the unit with your glasses?

A bit of a pain actually mate. About the only thing i can comfortably use while wearing them are rifle scopes and my camera, both of which have plenty of adjustment to do it. Other wise i find it easier just to lift them up onto my forehead take a look and drop them back down. They could be used with the glasses on, but it was fiddlier then just lifting the glasses up

Yeah, thought that might be the case. I can use scopes with my glasses on with no problems but my spotting scope - no way.

My RX 750 just arrived

It has all the same functions and gizmo's as the RX 1000 just less range obviously.

I was checking out the specs on the Leupold web site and from what I could see they made the same real world promises (on targets like trees and deer). Couldn't see much advantages in the 1000 over the 750.

I have used a rangefinder for quite some time as the terrain we usually shoot in is full of gullies so range guesstimation can end up with a shot falling short or going over the top. I have used a leupold RX-1 for some time till I got a Bushnell Elite 1500. This unit is quite compact and will measure distance to 1500 yards. I have checked it at the range where we shoot out to 1000 yards and it is accurate to within 1 yard. It is helpfull to see how far a mob of goats is away to estimate how long it will take to reach them and I have used it to range out to 1450 yards holding it by hand.
