Fortunately no.

Unlike Trev’s line of thought, I was taught by an old fella many moons ago (my grandfather) that if a job is worth doing you do it once and do it right

Yes but that only counts if you have some skill and technical ability

Got in and decided to get a handle done today, picked a new type of wood, this time Sally Wattle, other types were a bit thin.

Some nice grain, a bit plain compared to the oak but it will come up nicely.

Glued, riveted and in the vice for setting, will do shaping in a day or so and then polish it with fine burnishing oil Image

Crikey. Watch your footing in there that you don't trip over and split your melon open on that. Or lose all the fingers on your hand!

Would it not fit blade down?

Camel is too old to know or care about WHS

Besides, if he DID bust himself up - it would take a LOT of heat off Trevort

Still havent done the final sharpening on it Morgan, and despite the shit on the bench, the floor is pretty well clear of trip hazards. :D Thanks for the concern though.

Camel if you can think of something more productive to do with your time instead of chopping up old saw blades, I’ll bring you a five dollar special back next time I go to Vietnam 🤪

Looks like it should be good to use Camel.

Nice contour on the handle too.
