Rem700 'Special Varmint'

Post by Con »

Anybody able to remember that far back other than Johno1?

Was the Special Varmint variants running the same contour as the Rem700 Varmint that most barrel manufacturers supply, or was it a bit different like say the Rem Varmint vs Sendero.
Cheers...

I owned a couple of them they were a standard rem varmint profile I reckon
I've had a couple of Krieger rem varmint profiles and I think they are the same

Hey Con, I have a .22-250 Rem 700 BDL varmint that I assume is a Special Varmint, still has the factory barrel. I can get some dimensions if you want.

Marcus,
Please if you can? Muzzle diameter and the diameter right infront of the fore-end tip. Rest I can figure out.

I'm unsure whether this rifle will go back into the BDL stock as a 'retro-' looking varminter, or into a McMillan from an older Rem VS I owned.

Appreciated, appears to be pretty much the 'Sendero' contour.
