Some running repairs!!! on the road to WA (the back way) we collected a mound and ripped the flange out which was repaired with some nuts n bolts found from other bits of the car and a coke can with a bit of goop, n its still running today which reminds me I have to strip it and put in a proper flange gasket

We picked up some dirty fuel which was a bit of a pain because we had to pull over clean out the fuel filter the best we could which allowed us to drive n get back into the Alice, albeit not able to rev the engine above around 2300 rpm which made it a very slow 250 odd k drive back to Alice springs, we picked up a new filter at the shop drained the remaining fuel out of the tank wired up the fuel pump to pump out the fuel from the tank that we flushed out with some clean fuel all on the side of the road at the servo don't know what the locals thought but I'm pretty sure they've seen stranger
The amount of crap that came out of the tank made us have a good laugh
