over priced compared to most of the led torch's on the market
at less than half the price.

Re: Lightforce Pred9x and the Pred6x
Big coin for the Pred 9X, and there are many options that would throw further for much less coin.
It's also designed solely for rifle mounting unlike an LED torch which can be rifle mounted or used as, well, a torch...
Have only had a brief play with the Pred 6X but if you want coloured torches the Dereelight Night Master can be swapped between red, green and white LED's in a minute or two and throws a long way.
I built my own coloured setups.

Or a Dereelight xsearcher for a long range torch , bloody awesome
Re: Lightforce Pred9x and the Pred6x
I've got the 9, but I haven't really used it enough to pass judgement........so far though it is a very comfortable light to shoot under.
I dont like lights that are to bright.......the 9 seems to put out nice smooth light thats great to shoot with, but not over powering

I've got an olight m3x.
I don't have anything to compare it against but am very happy.
Comes with rechargeable batteries scope mount and pressure switch for $200.
Could probably get it cheaper on eBay
Cheers

What I had in mind was using the Pred9x mounted to my rifle so I find my target with the handheld spotlight and then switch over.
How would you mount that torch Fen it has 27mm dia by the looks ?

Re: Lightforce Pred9x and the Pred6x
I had a play with one a while back and it seemed to be 25mm.
I reckon it's the switch that's 27mm, with a 25mm body. Most tactical lights use a 25mm body for scope ring compatibility.
If it was 27mm at the body, you'd just use the LED Lenser style figure 8 mount anyway or use a 30mm ring with a bit of plastic spacing.
