Keachie, would you like the simplex press, its yours just for the asking, I have three others and this one is a spare. I can also send you down a fifty Sierra super roo projectiles to try, and I have a 600 box of 55gn Hornady projectiles that we could work out a price on, if you are interested. :D

I paid 135 for 1000 but see them advertised in the shooting mags for 150-160 not sure what that converts to in Tasmania though. I drive mine with bm2 but 2208 is suitable and seems to be pretty versatile across quite a few cartridges so id try it first a most gunshops will have it in stock
Thanks for the tip! I also see Bigfellascott likes them (found an old post via google)

I'm also looking for some projectiles to try/buy and those sound like good value.

Yes Trevor, I know about that other thread
I have found them good but most of them that get sent downrange in anger end up in roo's heads (under destruction permits) so its probably less critical what pill is used, I was using vmax's and they are less fragile than them but I wouldn't be trying to knock over anything too big with chest shots - Last time i was out i clipped the top of a roos head and it dropped but then got back up after a second so I sent one into its chest at about 75m and it dropped it quick but the was no exit of any kind, it did sound pretty soupy inside though.
With BM2 they shoot 3/4moa all day long in my stevens 200 and get the job done. If anyone does want to try them let me know and I can stick a few in an envelope for ya.

Cheers

I load the 55 gun SuperRoo projies in the old .223 and it shoots them well. I bought a 1000 count box so can also spare some if anyone wants to try them.

Makes life allot easier once you throw a charge "light" then trickle up to the weight you desire - you can control the charge consistency better.

Just remember when googling you don't leave out the "r" ok

The tRicklers are very handy for doing your test loads, doesn't take much to add another .1 or what ever a grain of powder, also come in very handy for setting up a powder thrower if you ever get around to adding one of those to your gear. :D

You might want to check Camel, I think you sold me that box of Hornady SP projectiles last Missathon...and I've already sent some to Keachie.

I suggest you take up the offer of the trickler, found it very handy in getting a perfect load.
