cleaning equipment
iv just been givn a old victory 22 single shot, im just wondering what people are using for cleaning barrels as this barrel hasnt been cleaned in yrs and what will clean yrs of built up powder and junk

A good scrub with sweets should do the trick, however I have heard that most people don't "really" clean the .22 barrel, due to looses in accuracy from built up copper and lube deposits.

I'd give it a good once over with Sweets7.62 like Mick said and then shoot to your hearts content. My Anschutz, manual stated "to clean rifle push several lightly oiled patches through the barrel" and that is all it said, nothing more. I don't think I've cleaned my Brno for a few thousand rounds, the accuracy doesn't change, clean or dirty.
