Post by Jacko9 »

G'day all,

has anyone had any experience with the leupy vx-6's? If so, what are they comparable to?

Cheers,

Not really compared them myself, but a bloke I work with has compared them to the Swarovski scopes for his new Blaser and he bought a Leupold.

(Sounds like that Jeep add!)

Adam,

I have thought about it and I think I am going to try one. I'm hopeful it is pretty similar to z3 glass or there abouts. The 2-12x42 illuminated is the one I am interested in, it seems like a bit of a jack of all trades master of none style scope, which will work for the 223 it's going on as it literally does just about all my work. As I can afford to have more rifles they will become more specialised, but this seems like a good balance at the moment.

Checkout my thread on the Sauer Yukon. I have the 2-12. Awesome scope for the price, couldn't be happier and I've had some darn good scopes! I thought I had it on this forum but cant find it. Must be on AHN??

I've had a look through my Z3 and my Leica ER side by side with Bushchook's (I think he's on here and not just AHN!) VX6. They have very nice glass, but I think to my eye the Swaro had the edge, though I'd put the VX6 on a par with the Leica. This wasn't anything more than a quick look through though, whereas I'd have loved to check resolution on a test card or similar, or in failing light.

What I do love on the Loppy's is the CDS turrets...better system than anything else I have seen.

Mate

Do I remember correctly you are not to far from Albury??? You can check out mine if you would like. I can only say like all scopes you need to check them out yourself, and even better have them on a rifle when you check them out. I am impressed by the vx6 I have, if I wasn't it would be gone. I wont be changing.

If you ARE near Albury, I can give you a look through a Loopy MK4 and a Zeiss to also compare side by side.

The Jan/march guns Australia mag has an article on them. It got too technical too quick so I haven't read it yet. Maybe after a beer!
