HW50S .177 Maccari tune

Post by LWR58 »

This one came in and the owner was disappointed
and had actually stopped shooting it

Usual maladies

Harsh to fire
Erratic velocity
Vibration
Lots of twang
11.0 Fake FP

Usual solution

Fit new correctly sized JM piston seal
Fit new JM breech seal
Fit new JM spring kit

Now super smooth at 9.7FP with FTT

Nice. It's very hard to shoot a stock standard springer after using something that's been properly tuned.

BUZZZZT!

That’s so true

The new HW’s really benefit from a Maccari tune

Angus’ Diana K98 .22 came up really well too
It’s not too bad at all

That'll come up nicely when the seal beds in to around 10 fpe.

Im always amazed why Weihrauch don't spend the few dollars extra on a top hat, a good fitting spring guide, nicely finishes spring ends & a decent lube.

Still keeps the likes of myself & Lewis busy 😊

It’s probably there now Matt

The springs are so tight on the guides straight up

So much nicer to use

I guess we should be grateful Matt!!
