Whos going to the NSW Queens 9-13 Sept
The NSW Queens is a few weeks away and more shooters are always extremely welcome. F class open can certainly do with more shooters, so who out there with their accurate long range rifles in whatever caliber are coming out for a shoot at 300-800 meters?

Malcom, F class is refered to as belly benchrest. You shoot off a front rest or bipod and sand bag at the rear, laying down prone on a mat. Standard class is for 223 and 308 rifles shooting 80gn or 155gn bullets with a weight limit of 8kg for rifle, plus a maximum of 2kg for the front bipod.
. Open class is any caliber up to 8mm. Maximum weight limit for F open is 10kg and no restriction on trigger weight, so basicly any fly rifle, or 1000yd light gun will be allowed. Some turn up with accurized varmint rifles, but since the range will be up to 800M, you will want a bit more than the 222 shooting 40gn V maxs. Most of the accurate rifles I have seen in this forum would be in F class open, so all of you people in this area who have been bragging about how accurate your fly/1000yd/varmint rifle is, bring it along to test it out.
The lead up shoot goes for 2 days and the Queens prize is 3 days. Each day there are 3 targets at different ranges. F standard allows 2 sighters and F open allows 3 sighter. Both have 10 shots for score on each target.
Stuart Elliots website benchrest.com.au has some photos and videos of F class shooting in the gallery page.
The targets get pulled down and a spotting disk used to mark each shot, so you dont need mega optics to find bullet holes. No need for leather shooting jackets or anything like that, just regular clothes.
Drop me a line if you think you might want to turn up, but need more info or gear.
